Pinspirations: Do It Yourself: Fall Family Photos

My mother is an excellent photographer and I take advantage of having professional pictures for a great price (free). She is very talented and I like to think I get my love for the arts from her. Which is one of the reasons why I don't have a lot of pictures of myself with the kids, because I am always the one behind the camera trying to catch every precious moment. It's also because as a mom of two young children, I rarely have time to shower let alone fix my hair and makeup. I'm very critical of my appearance post-babies and usually find pictures of myself unflattering. However, I've realized that if something were to ever happen to me, God forbid, my children would be too young to remember what their mother looks like and it's important to have pictures of myself with them. So, after finding some beautiful shots of other families on Pinterest, I decided it was time to try the poses out on our family. I fixed my hair, did my makeup, put on a sweater I bought right before I found out I was pregnant last fall and headed to a local trail to take advantage of the beautiful scenery.
